This was year two for the Outpost Hawaiian pig roast party.
This year the Outpost all chipped in and threw the party were we decorated
our camp, roasted a pig in a pit, and provided food and drink for
all the people at Lilies we could drag into our camp. Remember...care
out ..no delivery. |
Before the party a pit had to be
dug(deep), Firewood split, and a huge fire built and burned down to coals. |

Then the piggy had to be
prepared for the fire by being injected, stuffed, wrapped in burlap,
wrapped in mesh wire and put in the fire. |

After cooking all day covered in
hot coals and dirt the pig had to be dug up and pulled out from the fire |
We had alot of rain towards end of day and to
keep the piggy dry and the fire going we put a tent over the pit |
Camp was decorated in a Hawaiian
theme |
Pig had to unwrapped and carved
and then we began serving food and matai's to all our friends at war. |
